The Sanctuary on Solio Ranch (Also Solio Game Reserve) is located in the laikipia plateau between the dramatic snow capped peak of Mt. Kenya & the Aberdare Ranges. It was founded in 1970 as a breeding ground for Rhinos. The small park is literally full of Rhinos. A variety of wildlife have been introduced as well ;- zebra, buffalo, giraffe & antelope species. All the usual predators including the big cats are also present!
